300mm Baffle Plate

A baffle plate is a device used in industrial piping systems to control the flow of fluids. It is a flat plate with holes drilled in it, which is placed in the pipe to direct the flow of the fluid in a certain direction. The baffle plate is designed to create turbulence in the flow of the fluid, which helps to reduce the pressure of the fluid and increase its efficiency. Baffle plates can also be used to reduce the noise generated by the flow of the fluid, making the system quieter. Baffle plates are commonly used in boilers, pumps, and other industrial piping systems.

300mm Baffle Plates* come with 22mm or 26mm diameter holes, to suit 15 or 20mm Sprinkler Heads**).

Therefore, when they used in retail stores and warehouses, they act as a steel barrier that retains the heat from a fire in order to activate the sprinklers.

Coupled with sprinkler guards, they are easy to install and require very little upkeep.

Due to this, the heat-responsive element of the sprinkler is shielded from direct water sprays from nearby sprinklers or run-off water from sprinklers above, both of which can interfere with sprinkler operation.
