Coach Screws
Heavy-duty coach screws or lag screws have an external thread. They have square or hexagonal heads and taper to a point at the tip.

For heavy-duty fixing into masonry, they can be installed into nylon wall plugs. Generally fixed to timber, but can also be used in masonry.
