There is an illustration that illustrates how a double delta base plate can be used with channels in parallel arrangement side by side.  The base plate of the device features an enclosed socket within which it is possible to slide the channel.  The channel is then secured using a set screw and spring nut in order to prevent it from coming unfastened.
